about

Recorded Live at Richie's, New Creek, WV, March 5, 1982.

"The area in which we performed was on a very steep hill. We used wooden pallets with cinder blocks in the front of them to make a level area. Each performer had a pallet except for the "Claw". The reason Prysock was the "Claw" was he had injured himself, actually cut a tendon in his finger, trying to remove his hubcap to replace a flat while on a trip to Morgantown (whole other wild story). It was very dry and there was no grass so people dancing kicked up a great dust cloud that kinda looked like we had a fog machine. There was also this killer vine hanging from a tree over this huge gully which made it perfect for doing Tarzan maneuvers. At some point during this recording Connie Hall was dancing and accidentally kicked the tape recorder." - Craig Smith
